Jenell Nyberg is a writer, busy mama, math geek, bicycle enthusiast, and amateur mycologist- just to name a few of her interests. She has also lived with a Bipolar 1 diagnosis for over 15 years.
She has personally walked the painful road of experiencing her life in utter ruin and destruction due to her illness to ultimately finding a life full of hope, purpose, and community.
This is her dream for everyone in the Bipolar community. While she has pursued graduate training in Mental Health Counseling, she believes it is her lived experience with the illness that uniquely equips her for this calling and purpose.
As a Mental Health Advocate located out of Central Iowa, some of her recent work has included supporting women survivors of human trafficking at Wings of Refuge and advocating for greater community integration for individuals with disabilities at Mainstream Living.
She lives in State Center, Iowa in a tiny house with her 9 year old son and cat, Mia Sophia.
